The AWS Global Partner Investment and Incentive Team seeks an experienced Funding Risk Product Manager to support new go-to-market funding programs as part of a new operations team. The PM will support fast-growing new funding programs by creating, enhancing, and enforcing program guardrails and scaling an operational team to make risk mitigation faster and more accurate, collaborating with our engineering team and other stakeholders. This is the right role for you if you pay attention to details, can learn quickly and collaborate with stakeholders under pressure, and incrementally improve SOPs and outward-facing guidance to enable a better Partner/Customer experience and help AWS personnel drive that experience. In this role you must be willing to “roll up your sleeves.”

Key job responsibilities

  • Own compliance checking and evaluation of high-velocity partner-attached AWS customer deals.

  • Contribute to and/or own creation or enhancement of dashboards, workflows, and tooling improvements to identify and mitigate risk.

  • Contribute to and/or own development of deal review protocols and SOPs, quality evaluation mechanisms, reporting, and internal and external enablement and policies to improve throughput and reduce rework rate.

  • Onboarding new strategic growth initiatives to the compliance checking and deal evaluation process as they go public.

  • Coordinating with stakeholders to handle escalations and review edge cases, and communicating in a structured manner with those stakeholders as needed.

About the team

The AWS Partner Investments and Incentives (APII) team is responsible for accelerating Partner success by delivering Partner Investments and Incentives at scale, simplifying Partner experience by enabling the development of AWS services & products and driving Partner revenue by building go-to-market strategies with business insights and mitigated risk. The APII Risk & Compliance team is responsible for helping to standardize and automate the partner investment experience and enforce policies to drive partner security, compliance, governance, fairness and consistency, and enabling risk-based automation and audit capabilities to align resources on higher-risk activities.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 5+ years of program and/or product management in audit, compliance, or operations in a higher-volume transactional-type team

  • 5+ years of professional or military experience

  • Experience enhancing SOPs and achieving quality results at scale while meeting KPIs

  • Experience collaborating with stakeholders to manage expectations and improve quality in a high-pressure environment

  • Experience driving consistently high quality in a rapidly evolving, sales-focused environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AWS, and in particular with AWS Partner Organization, sales organization, and/or AWS Partner Funding Platform (APFP).

  • Experience with Amazon dashboarding and data analysis tools (Quicksight, SQL, etc.)

  • Experience with Amazon engineering and change management processes.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
