Amazon IT Support (ITS) Event Productions team is seeking an experienced events program manager to support the operational strategy, development, and delivery for Global Event Productions.

As a Global Program Manager at Amazon, you embody the nucleus of strategic project management, orchestrating initiatives that span continents, fostering collaboration across diverse teams, and propelling global programs towards success.

In your role, you'll immerse yourself in a spectrum of responsibilities, including:

  • Strategic Vision and Road mapping: Your days commence with the crafting of comprehensive project roadmaps. These blueprints intricately detail project requirements, serving as guiding beacons for teams distributed across the globe. Your ability to articulate these roadmaps clearly to varied teams becomes paramount for successful implementation.

  • Milestone Setting and Continuous Goal Management: With a keen eye on project progress, you establish measurable milestones for distinct project phases. Beyond these, your knack for continuous goal setting drives ongoing programs, ensuring they align seamlessly with Amazon's overarching objectives.

  • Data-Driven Decision-Making: You're the maestro conducting the symphony of project decisions. Collecting and analyzing data form the cornerstone of your role, steering project strategies and presenting invaluable business insights to senior leadership.

Role and responsibilities

· Oversee programs and project completion of all event deliverables related to program development

· Work directly with production project owners to identify deliverables and deadlines, communicate expectations, and ensure results

· Coordinate, manage, and run program related team meetings; documenting and distributing meeting notes and action items

· Build, own, and manage the Workfront/Asana portfolio, including manager team dashboards

· Build and distribute regular reports on project deliverables and status updates

· Observe, measure, and provide quality control of the results being provided to customers (CSAT).

· Listening to, and using customer feedback to drive product innovation.

· Flexible to changing priorities, open to new ideas and have the customer experience firmly as the focus.

· Contributing to global or local initiatives to develop and share best practices to help scale the organization.

· Identify, communicate and remove barriers as related to projects and processes.

· Maintain team internal wiki pages and facilitate ownership of customer-facing wiki pages

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience

  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

  • Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

  • Experience in leading large, cross functional projects

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
