Job Title: General Labor

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated individual for the role of General Labor/Firewatch to work on the USS KIDD. The primary focus will be on installing foundations and piping.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in installing foundations and piping on the USS KIDD.

  • Utilize basic hand tools and power tools effectively.

  • Ensure safety protocols are followed while working as a Firewatch.

  • Work in confined spaces as needed.

  • Stand, sit, and bend for periods of up to 10 hours.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in using basic hand tools and power tools.

  • Ability to work in confined spaces.

  • Physical stamina to stand, sit, and bend for up to 10 hours.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous shipyard experience is a plus.

  • Any general labor or hands-on position experience is beneficial.

Work Environment

You will be working on the USS KIDD at Vigor Shipyard in Seattle. The role involves physical activity, including standing, sitting, and bending for extended periods. The work environment requires the use of basic hand tools and power tools, and adherence to safety protocols while working in confined spaces.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Seattle, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00
