*Note, we will consider applicants across N America (closer to Pacific Time Zone preferred), you will have the option of working remotely or at an EA office if you are nearby*What a Software Engineer III does within the EADP Marketplace Team at EA:You will reporting to a Senior Engineer Manager. As a Software Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to work with a team of engineers to build the software design and architecture of our new systems. Most of your time will be spent developing features and optimizing robustness and scalability of server systems. You will also spend time working with product managers to create new features to support EA's many games and reduce technical debt associated with legacy systems through innovation and automation. Additionally, you will be a promoter for best practices within the engineering team.Responsibilities: Roughly 70% to 85% hands-on codingCreate a large-scale managed cloud service for EA gamesResolve defects during QA testing, pre-production, production and from the live environmentWork with multiple clients working on multiple different platforms who use the services and features you create to complete user facing featuresArchitect large portions of the software from features to entire applicationsGrow and guide other engineersOccasional off-hours support for development needs and support of the live environment ensuring our consumer experience is always excellentExperience: 6+ years of professional development experienceGoLang programming experienceExperience with Kubernetes, AWS or other cloud servicesExperience developing online services using REST, gRPC or similarExperience with Helm, Kustomize or similar productsExperience with CI/CD and automation pipelinesBonus: Java or Kotlin experienceExperience migrating existing services from Cloud to KubernetesFrontend/UI experienceTerraform experienceCrossplane experienceExperience porting existing services to Kubernetes from other cloud servicesEA is an equal opportunity employer.
