FOAA team is looking for a Financial Application Analyst to advise the technology teams in Amazon to seamlessly integrate with home grown financial systems for accurate and timely Financial Reporting. An ideal candidate is a self-starter, works backwards from customer needs and curious to understand the complex integration between different systems in the Amazon eCommerce world.

Key job responsibilities

  • Advise the customers on the financial integration architecture.

  • Acquire deep understanding of one or more lines of businesses and system integration.

  • Partner with customers in creating new business event models or enhancing existing models based on the new business needs.

  • Help customers author and release using a home grown business configuration management solution called Flare.

  • Troubleshoot integration issues by partnering with internal technical teams in AFFS.

  • Work very closely with the technical teams across Amazon's lines of businesses to come up with innovative solutions that will accelerate the adoption of FLASH technology for Financial Reporting.

  • Manage a team of Financial App Analysts (depending on the resourcing requirements)

A day in the life

Prioritization, Resource Planning and Stakeholder Management.

Gathering requirements from various Amazon businesses integrating with financial automation tools.

Collaborate with engineering teams to come up with optimal solutions for accounting automation.

Work on code review and config review process by following the guidelines.

Participate in UAT and guide internal customers with troubleshooting.

Work on deployments to production after acquiring UAT sign-off from stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience of working in Financial Services implementing solutions.

  • Act as liaison between customers and engineering teams.

  • Ability to understand complex business flows and break them into use cases.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a technical consulting or techno-functional consulting role in a customer centric, fast moving environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly.

  • Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.

  • Prior program management experience is a plus

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $65,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $164,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
