Robert Half International Full Charge Bookkeeper in Seattle, Washington

Description You will succeed in this Full Charge Bookkeeper position if you have a background in accounting and you're interested in taking on a challenging role with opportunity for advancement. Are you looking for work as a Full Charge Bookkeeper? If you're comfortable with preparing and processing financial statements and accounts and managing all general accounting and bookkeeping essential functions, Accountemps might have a job for you. The Full Charge Bookkeeper position is a short-term temporary opportunity in Seattle, Washington.

Major responsibilities

  • Maintaining historical records by filing documents

  • Following federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements, implementing adherence to requirements, filing reports, and advising management on needed actions

  • Ensuring monthly, quarterly and year end close happens accurately and on time

  • Managing accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers

  • Tracking fixed assets to produce depreciation schedules

  • Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable; handling collections as needed

  • Reconciling bank and general ledgers, and processing payroll

  • Putting together the trial balance and financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement Requirements - Strong organization skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent, AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business preferred

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in bookkeeping

  • Competence with financial data analysis and report generation that is prompt and accurate

  • Proven flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments

  • Able to work independently with a minimal amount of oversight

  • Ability to multitask efficiently and prioritize work

    • Excel and Peachtree experience desired
  • Accounts Receivable (AR) experience preferred

  • Experience with commercial collections

  • QuickBooks experience

  • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)

  • Expertise in payroll

  • Knowledgeable of accrual and cash basis of accounting

  • Experience with payroll preferred
