Key job responsibilities

  • Architect, design, develop and deploy new product features with a focus on UX

  • Contribute best-in-class programming skills to develop highly innovative, consumer-facing experiences

  • Write clean, maintainable code and perform peer code-reviews.

  • Work with other team members to investigate design approaches, prototype new technology, and evaluate technical feasibility.

  • Work in an agile / scrum environment to deliver high quality software against planned schedules.

  • Establish architectural principles, select design patterns, and mentor team members on their appropriate application.

  • Help define and implement standards and promote best practices for the frontend development community including accessibility, performance, localization, scaling using micro-frontends etc.

We are part of the NA Global Installments Lending team under Amazon Payment Products organization. Our vision for the organization is to build/foster a world class engineering team that delivers the best value to Amazon customers and internal businesses, built on a culture of trust, empowerment, and innovation. Following on this vision, we are building new products to accelerate and re-imagine Installment experience in Amazon. Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS experience

  • 2+ years of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis) experience

  • Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as angular and react

  • Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building reusable UX components or libraries

  • Experience building scalable, distributed, front-end experiences

  • Proficiency in React Native using at least one modern language such as TypeScript

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
