This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. As part of a hardworking team of diverse technicians, you will be working directly with flight hardware for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of reaching the goal of millions of people living and working in space. You will be responsible for welding multiple aluminum alloys using the friction stir welding process and the manufacture, assembly, and testing for various spaceflight systems. You will be supporting production and development-related activities that directly affect rocket launch vehicles and spacecraft. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention toward safe and repeatable spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required! Special Mentions: Relocation provided Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 5+ years of experience in Aerospace or related fields. Ability to read and interpret GD & T. Experience in rigging, lifting, and crane operations of flight hardware, including forklift operations. Knowledge of AWS, NASA and Air Force Welding Specifications and Requirements. Machining and parts fabrication experience. Background in Machining, CNC, Manual or Robotic. Background in Welding. Experience working with NDT Processes. Written and verbal communication, math, reading, and spelling skills. High School Diploma or GED. Ability to support Monday through Thursday 1st shift (A shift) 5am - 3:30pm and additional weekend overtime as requested. Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion. Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Minimum Qualifications: 10+ years of prior work experience in Friction Stir Welding, robotics and/or CNC Processing. Knowledgeable in the operation of the MS Office suite. (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) Technical Certificate or education in welding/machining/ A&P License.
