The Department of Radiology has an outstanding opportunity for a Full-time Fiscal Specialist (NE S SEIU 925 Non Supv) in Radiology Grants Administration

The Fiscal Specialist 1 (Radiology Grants Administration) contributes to the growth and success of the Department of Radiology by executing the mission and vision. This position assists Radiology Research Faculty with fiscal support for post-award budgets. A successful candidate will promote general fiscal specialist activities within the Department of Radiology.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Fiscal Assignments (80%): This position reviews, analyzes, records, reports, and initiates transactions and changes on a number of different expense accounts.

  • Update individual grant budget reports on a monthly basis to reflect actual expenses and projected expenses including salaries, benefits, and other expenses.

  • Create new budget reports, as needed, from standardized templates to meet the needs of individual funding activities. Follow standard file naming and filing system in shared drive.

  • Review requests for research subject payments from standardized forms sent to Radiology Grants Admin by research groups; request updates and edits, if required. Once a week prepare an Excel spreadsheet of the request for review. Once approved, enter the requests into the accounting system for payment.

  • Review and track subaward invoices using standardized procedure.

  • Review proposals which include Radiology personnel and/or Radiology resources using standardized electronic form and follow standardized procedure for routing and filing in shared drive.

  • Serve as back-up, as needed, to track, obtain, and file source documents for non-salary expenses on grant budgets.

  • Responsible for creating and managing the bi-weekly post-award management meeting information. This entails extracting current/past data of active/closed(ing) projects.Other Assignments (10%): This position will be responsible for maintenance of day-to-day office activities and will share responsibilities for facilities management, surplus, inventory, and special projects.Self/Team Development (10%)

  • Three years of fiscal record keeping experience, or equivalent education/experience DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Workplace experience with Microsoft Excel (vlookup, hyperlinking, formulas, pivot tables0

CONDITITONS OF EMPLOYMENT

  • Schedule is normally 8am-5pm (one hour unpaid lunch break), Monday thru Friday, but is not always fixed and workload does vary. The incumbentĀ¹s first responsibility is to complete tasks rather than keep to a fixed schedule. Flexibility in schedule and intensity of work is necessary.

  • Position is suitable/eligible for Occasional remote work on an as needed basis.

  • Some travel between sites will be necessary by UW Health Services or other shuttles.
