Blue Origin LLC Financial Analyst III - Engines in Seattle, Washington

The InSpace Engines Finance team partners with engineering, procurement, supply chain, and test operations to drive the growth and success of Blue Origin's InSpace engines and thruster development. In this dynamic role, you will improve performance and predictability through your financial competence and analytical savvy. We are looking for a proactive, diligent analyst with outstanding financial expertise and interpersonal skills who thrives in an ever-evolving environment. Responsibilities: Assist with monthly and quarterly reporting cycles for InSpace Engines Development, including month-end close, monthly forecast, and quarterly EAC. Present reports to management for program financial updates. Collaborate with Engine and Thruster Development collaborators to strengthen and streamline development finance reporting processes and systems. Identify gaps, propose, and drive improvements by developing automated applications for data aggregation and reporting to drive engine unit-cost reductions. Support forecasting of critical metrics, including spend and resource requirements, such as headcount, capital, and operating expenses. Compile, analyze, and interpret financial reports that indicate trends, variances, risks, and opportunities associated with operational spend, capital investment, and inventories. Assist business managers with budgeting and performance insights Drive monthly forecasts for labor, overhead, and capital Partner with other finance team members in special projects that support management decision-making, such as capital expenditure, inventory, and what-if analyses. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in an appropriate field such as Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or another highly analytical subject area Minimum 5 years of experience in financial analysis, including annual and multi-year planning, month-end closing, forecasting, variance analysis, and ad-hoc reporting and modeling. Excellent written communication and presentation skills Understanding of underlying business processes and the impact of financial decisions Experience helping business leaders meet financial targets and deliver results Intermediate Excel proficiency Experience with Tableau preferred Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
