Our business offers the broadest and deepest set of networking and content delivery services in the world that allow customers to run applications with the highest level of reliability, security and performance.This position will work closely with finance management as well as key business partners across the AWS organization including product managers, engineering managers, business intelligence leads and internal AWS teams to drive thoughtful analysis and automation of the AWS Networking & Content Delivery business.The position will support capacity forecasting, ad-hoc business projects and analyses and capacity optimizations with a focus on process automation. This role requires a self-starter with strong SQL/BI skills, financial modeling background, problem solving skills, a keen attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous situations. This role requires strong people skills and has regular interaction with various AWS business units & senior leadership.Key job responsibilities* Lead the automation of financial planning/reporting processes from Excel to SQL/BI tools to improve scalability and process efficiency.* Manage complex data queries using SQL/BI tools to create and manipulate large data sets for use in economic planning models and financial reporting.* Collaborate with finance, engineering and BI leads to build complex financial and statistical models to support short and long range financial/operational forecasts.* Support financial controllership, support reviews of financial metrics, analyze variances, synthesize key business drivers, and communicate them to senior management in business terms and influence them through presenting actionable drivers.* Provide deep analytics and communicate effectively to senior team leaders.* Develop metrics to measure efficacy of the services and standardize financial reports.3+ years of experience in finance or a related analytical field.Strong SQL and business intelligence skillsFinancial modeling and analysis experienceAbility to understand multiple business dimensions and draw inferences by connecting various inputsBusiness and finance partner experience; experience working with multiple stakeholdersStrong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skillsTrack record of managing deliverables to meet challenging deadlinesThe ability to self-motivate in a fast-paced and rapidly-changing environment with competing deadlinesComfort with ambiguity and a willingness to work with a high degree of autonomyExperience with cube engine tools (e.g. TM1, Cognos or Essbase), SQL and Data warehouseAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
