Amazon Finance Manager in Seattle, Washington
Description
The North America Stores Finance team has an immediate opening to support headcount, operating expense, and working capital planning and reporting in addition to leading the Steam goal process. This role will prepare reporting, forecasting, and analysis of the North America Consumer business, with a large opportunity to deliver insights and improve efficiency with automation and process improvements.
This individual will work closely with a variety of stakeholders, including senior business and finance leaders in NA Stores, frontline finance controllers, and other central finance teams, along with a variety of other stakeholders across the organization supporting headcount, operating expenses, S-Team Goals, and working capital. Candidates should have experience working in high visibility roles and be comfortable preparing data that is presented to senior leadership. Good communication skills, ability to manage multiple priorities, and attention to detail are critical. Candidates will also have strong business judgment and an interest in understanding consumer behavior. Key job responsibilities
o Supporting planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis for North America Store’s headcount, opex, and working capital
o Simplifying and automating processes and reports within the North America Stores organization
o Leading all controllership activities including GRC certification, cost center certification, cost pool audit etc.
o Partnering with key stakeholders to facilitate achieving goals established by management
o Delivering key insights as a highly trusted resource for information about our financial data, processes, and the business operations we support
Basic Qualifications
• Proven track record in finance analysis/operation and business development, preferably in a global organization with P&L and FP&A responsibility.
• The successful candidate will also have a comfort with details and complicated data, can dive deep, and communicate implications and solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to work across teams and deliver results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment; effective multi-tasking skills are vital.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Experience with COGNOS , Assembly. Brady and Tableau is a plus.
• General understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science) and 5+ years of finance experience, or Master’s degree and 3+ years of finance experience
Preferred Qualifications
6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
MBA, or CPA
Knowledge of SQL/ETL
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
