Amazon Finance Manager, Selling Partner Services Finance in Seattle, Washington

WW Selling Partner Services’ (SPS) mission is to enable the long-term success of our selling partners by providing the most trusted shopping and selling experience and by providing powerful solutions for accelerating our selling partners’ business growth. The US Seller Business organization within SPS is responsible for driving the growth and profitability of the US Fulfillment By Amazon (FBA) and Merchant Fulfillment Network (MFN) programs.

We are seeking a Finance Manager (FM) to support the US 3P Business team. With Sellers contributing to over 50% of Amazon’s online sales, this business is large in scale and pivotal to Amazon’s ability to offer a vast selection of products at low prices to customers. As the FM, you will work closely with the selection, pricing and promotions teams responsible for accelerating the Seller Flywheel inputs. You will be partner with the business to identify and drive growth and profit improvement initiatives to expand a multi-Billion dollar business.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and will be a creative and analytical problem solver. The role has close and frequent interaction with senior leaders, and requires a combination of strong analytical skills and business acumen. The candidate must have the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across teams to deliver high quality insights and analyses to senior leaders to influence business strategy.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead finance support for the US 3P Seller Flywheel Acceleration team

  • Develop metrics and reporting to produce insights on financial and business performance

  • Build monthly forecasts and long-range plans for key topline and input metrics

  • Create ad-hoc cost benefit analyses, financial modeling, and business case development to support new initiatives and business decisions

  • Oversee goals and variable headcount/operating expense budgets for the team

  • Build and maintain in depth knowledge across key business areas by staying current on initiatives, challenges and opportunities across the business

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science) and 5+ years of finance experience, or Master’s degree and 3+ years of finance experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience

  • 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience

  • MBA, or CPA

  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $81,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
