Amazon.com is seeking a Finance Manager for a high visibility role supporting Amazon\'s Digital Video leadership team. Opportunities abound for impactful analysis, process improvement, and scope expansion. This Finance Leader will be a trusted finance advisor working closely with various stakeholders including Accounting, Finance, and Financial system teams to solve complex problems. This role will oversee financial planning and reporting processes, and will shape the strategy for how we plan and analyze the financials for our services. The successful candidate will work across teams and manage reporting, in-year forecasting, marketing budget, variance analysis, and goal measurement. This role also has interaction with VP level business leaders and VP level finance leaders across Amazon and therefore requires strong interpersonal and communication skills. This role presents long-term opportunities to grow in other parts of both Digital Video and the global Finance team. This candidate must have the ability to influence the decisions of business partners through effective verbal and written communication, logical reasoning, and the presentation of alternatives. The ability to think and act quickly under pressure and manage multiple competing priorities effectively is a must. A proven track record of superior financial and strategic analysis and developing/delivering recommendations based on this analysis is a requirement for this role. Key job responsibilities - Design scalable solutions that automate recurring work. - Use solid financial knowledge and business acumen to build financial models, interpret data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations that deliver results, drive improvements, and influence leaders throughout Amazon. These decisions can have global impact. - Deliver weekly/monthly financial close. Use financial systems and advanced MS Excel functions to work with large data sets. Output plans, forecasts, budgets, and consolidations. - Create effective business partnerships, manages competing priorities, and provides guidance based on data analysis during unexpected events. - Use active listening skills intuitively to communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner. Adjusts style for various audiences to articulate complex finance issues clearly. We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations: Los Angeles, CA, USA \| Seattle, WA, USA 3+ years of full-time industry work experience, which occurred between the conferral date from your undergraduate program and prior to starting your MBA or master\'s program, OR 3+ years of military work experience prior to starting your MBA or master\'s program. Undergraduate degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and/or relevant industry experience working within technology teams. Prior experience in management consulting, public accounting, or investment banking is preferred Ability to demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through and meet deadlines Strong written and oral communication skills Strong analytical skills with attention to detail Pursuant to the Los Angeles Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from \$81,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to \$179,500/year in our highest geographic market.
