We are seeking a Finance Manager to join Amazon's Prime Air drone delivery business, an innovative service for ultra-fast delivery. In this role, you will serve as the primary financial business partner to our Engineering, Science & Product teams. You will lead critical financial planning initiatives, including three-year forecasting analysis, while delivering strategic insights to senior leadership. The position offers a unique blend of financial management and technological innovation, and is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of logistics.

Key job responsibilities

• Providing primary business partnership to Engineering, Science & Technology (ES&T) organization, including budgeting, headcount planning, and strategic financial guidance.

• Leading planning initiatives through development of financial models, strategic analysis, and data-driven insights to support senior leadership decision-making.

• Supporting month-end close activities, controllership requirements, and financial planning cycles.

• Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance financial reporting efficiency.

• Developing and refining financial models in creating solutions that scale.

• Executing ad-hoc analysis and providing thoughtful business insights.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

• BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science) and 5+ years of finance experience, or Master’s degree and 3+ years of finance experience

Preferred Qualifications

• 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience

• 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience

• MBA, or CPA

• Knowledge of SQL/ETL

• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

• Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
