Amazon Finance Manager, Global Prime - Prime Benefits in Seattle, Washington

Description

Global Prime Finance is looking for an innovative, data-driven Finance Manager to partner with the Worldwide Prime Benefits team. The team is responsible for working closely with cross-functional teams around the world to analyze benefit offerings, create metrics/guardrails to monitor benefit usage and ROI, and develop actionable insights that support and drive strategic business decisions. If you enjoy using analytical skills to shape strategy and build new initiatives from concept to scale, then this will be a good match.

Key job responsibilities

  • Brainstorming with business partners on new benefits offerings or changes to existing offerings;

  • Sizing new business opportunities and developing metrics that allow us to measure success;

  • Facilitating financial and business review meetings with stakeholders to support decision making;

  • Driving thought leadership in quantifying the value of distinct customer behaviors, and making recommendations to increase value to customers and Amazon;

  • Creating and improving financial metrics, reports and scorecards;

  • In coordination with Business Intelligence, working with large volumes of complex data and distilling it down to actionable findings presented to senior management.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science) and 5+ years of finance experience, or Master’s degree and 3+ years of finance experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, or CPA

  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL

  • 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
