Amazon Finance Manager, Finance and Business Integration in Seattle, Washington

Description

We are seeking a Finance Manager to join our Fixed Asset Accounting Finance and Business Integration team, specifically supporting the emerging Kuiper Business. This role will focus on fixed asset accounting processes and will be instrumental in supporting and influencing the launches of Kuiper's global business initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with global financial systems, accounting operations, tax, treasury, and other teams, representing the accounting organization to various stakeholders. This position requires collaboration with business finance and technical teams to deliver scalable, secure, and flexible world-class solutions. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, global, results-oriented environment and possesses strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial, as well as ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, scope business requirements and prioritize.

Successful candidates will have deep experience in the following three disciplines – Accounting, Program Management and Financial Systems. Candidate experience should cover financial processes, project management, accounting requirements documentation, process design, and user acceptance testing responsibilities. Demonstrated experience in influencing cross-functional teams to accomplish unusually complex challenges is expected and an ongoing requirement for this position.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Own and manage project management lifecycle activities for multiple fixed asset-related projects simultaneously, from beginning to end (planning, requirements gathering, technology team partnerships, UAT planning and performance, project closing, and stakeholder engagement. ) L

  2. Lead automation projects to design and implement processes/tools that enhance financial statement accuracy and efficiency, particularly for fixed asset management.

  3. Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for, and represent, fixed asset accounting functions with diver stakeholder teams across Amazon

  4. Own delivery of accounting requirement documentation and execution of user acceptance testing

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field

  • Experience managing large-volume accounting / finance process improvement and/or technology projects with aggressive schedules

  • 5+ years of program/project management experience (including requirements lifecycle management and testing support) in a mid-size or large company with a proven record of successful delivery and customer obsession.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA

  • Experience researching and documenting support for accounting conclusions

  • Knowledge of GAAP research tools and the FASB codification

  • Experience in accounting management in Big Four with Fortune 500 clients

  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

  • PMP

  • Experience supporting accounting/finance customers in setting and managing expectations, project deliverables, and conflict resolution.

  • Operational accounting experience with one or more Fortune 500 companies

  • Experience in managing cross-functional initiatives through influence versus direct management.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
