Meta Finance Business Operations Manager, Infrastructure in Seattle, Washington

Summary:

Meta is seeking a highly quantitative, analytical and motivated Finance Finance Business Operations Manager for the Finance Capacity team. The Finance Capacity team has a unique bird's-eye view of Meta's business and is positioned at the center of some of the most important strategic decisions for the company. It advises on how to allocate Infrastructure capacity within the company, so that Meta can reach its strategic and financial objectives. The Finance Capacity team is responsible for deeply understanding business drivers, identifying opportunities/risks, and proposing capacity allocations that maximize ROI across the family of apps (Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp) and carve out capacity for longer term strategic initiatives. This position will focus heavily on analyzing and modeling ROI of Meta's infrastructure capacity investments and decisions, understanding how leading-edge AI technologies support our complex ads ecosystem, and developing actionable insights to influence strong financial decision making. The role is highly cross-functional and partner facing, involving coordination and navigation of differing perspectives across a variety of data science, product, infrastructure, and finance teams. Ideal candidates are highly motivated and have a track record of delivering actionable and data-driven insights; you're able to effectively combine deep technical expertise and business acumen, and drive to results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. As an experienced individual contributor, you will also be expected to raise the quality of the data science craft at Meta, and to provide strong technical leadership and mentorship to other data scientists.

Required Skills:

Finance Business Operations Manager, Infrastructure Responsibilities:

  1. Own and lead projects end-to-end, in partnership with data science, finance, Infra or cross-functional teams to inform and influence capacity investment decisions.

  2. Build frameworks to analyze business implications, influence measurement standards and extrapolate experiment results into highly accurate and explainable forecasts.

  3. Navigate complex cross-functional situations and evaluate analyses to reach alignment on objective business outcomes.

  4. Influence financial and product direction through clear and compelling presentations, including to leadership.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 5+ years of experience in quantitative analysis or predictive modeling to inform business/financial strategy.

  2. BA/BS in quantitative field (data science, computer science, economics, finance, etc.) or equivalent degree/experience

  3. Effective collaboration, business communication and project leading skills - you have a track record of being viewed as an analytics thought leader by business partners in solving complex cross-functional problems.

  4. Work experience in the infrastructure and/or capacity domain areas

  5. Expert-level skills in extracting and manipulating large datasets using data querying languages (e.g. SQL) and turning the data into actionable insights

  2. Proven track record in synthesizing analytical insights to influence decision-making through data-centric presentations, and communicating effectively across business and technical domains (including to executive audiences).

  3. Advanced degree in a quantitative field.

  4. Experience in scripting languages (e.g. Python), and/or statistical software (e.g. R).

Public Compensation:

$159,000/year to $225,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
