Job Title: Accounting Manager Contract duration: 11 months Pay range: $55-$63.10/HR Location: 100% remote About the Opportunity We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Accounting Manager to join a dynamic team of accounting and finance professionals within the Controller organization of a prominent leader in the real estate technology sector. This company is known for its innovative platforms that connect people with the real estate market, helping buyers, sellers, and renters navigate the complexities of property transactions through cutting-edge tools and software solutions. About the Role The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, particularly ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition from Contracts with Customers), and an interest in the evolving landscape of real estate technology. This role involves both month-end close activities and contributing to the implementation of new revenue products. Key Responsibilities Review and/or prepare journal entries related to real estate software products in compliance with GAAP. Perform balance sheet reconciliations with precision and accuracy. Provide insightful explanations of financial results to accounting leadership and cross-functional business partners. Drive continuous improvement of processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and quality as the business grows. Partner cross-functionally to understand current and new product lines, and contribute to designing and implementing robust operational accounting processes and systems. Maintain and enforce strong internal controls to ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements and maintain SOX documentation. Support external audits and SEC filings by preparing timely schedules and responding to auditor inquiries. Collaborate with business operations to identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to support the scalability of the real estate software business. Perform ad-hoc projects and analyses as needed. Provide guidance and review for staff-level work. Qualifications BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 4+ years of accounting experience. Advanced Excel skills with an aptitude for working with large datasets. Strong understanding of US GAAP, especially ASC 606. CPA certification preferred but not required. Experience with Big 4 or large national/regional audit firms is a plus. Familiarity with Zuora, G Suite, Workday GL, and Salesforce.com is advantageous. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Detail-oriented, analytical, and committed to accuracy. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
