Responsibilities:

  • Install, train, and service Topcon Machine Control systems on heavy equipment including Dozers, Motor Graders, Excavators, Skid Steers, Compactors, Pavers, and Curb Machines.

  • Troubleshoot complex issues to improve machine performance or complete repairs.

  • Research and identify solutions to software and hardware issues.

  • Perform Pre and Post Sale Technical Support assistance for customers and the sales team via phone, email, and remote desktop.

Qualifications:

  • Mechanical, hydraulic, electronic, and technical aptitude required.

  • Hydraulics and Electronics aptitude. Troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems will be required.

  • Customer Service and Support skills.

  • Strong knowledge of computers.

  • Physically capable of climbing onto large equipment and lifting to 75 pounds.

  • Work will be outside in the elements (rain, cold, heat)

  • Travel requirements fluctuate depending on business requirements and are subject to change.

  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record

Education & Experience

  • AS or equivalent field experience working on heavy equipment is required.

  • Operation of heavy construction equipment.

  • Mechanical, hydraulic, and technical troubleshooting.

  • Machine Control installation experience is preferred.

US Candidates the base pay range $28-33 per hour is a projected hiring range for a position, level and potential work location(s) listed. Topcon provides the compensation range that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. This compensation range is based on a full-time schedule.
