Employee Resource Groups for Career and Personal Development The individual in this position is responsible for a wide variety of service related support functions including, but not limited to, the repair, maintenance, and performance of IQ/OQ/PT of assigned products. The products are to include SSI owned demo equipment, instruments returned from customers and customer owned products. This position is responsible for learning how to repair, maintenance and installation of assigned products. Providing repair and maintenance support on assigned products. (Daily) Accurate documentation and reporting of all repairs and product failures and when applicable providing design change and improvement recommendations. (Daily) Timely submission of all required paperwork and documentation as required. (Daily) Work closely with and under the direction of more senior service personnel & service supervisor in-order to obtain/learn the necessary skills required for future field service assignments. (Daily) Limited travel in the local region to include possible assignments in a neighboring region. (Weekly) This position\'s primary focus is to learn how to provide quality, efficient service to our customers and to support the regional staff in the performance of the same. Additionally, the individual in this position should learn required skills so they may accept a field service assignment within SSI\'s market area as desired. Technicians will not have an assigned region/territory at this level. Incumbent must have the aptitude to learn how to be proficient at effectively and efficiently troubleshooting and repairing instrument problems, performing installations, and providing, when necessary, customer and staff training. An associate\'s degree in Electrical Engineering or Technology with preferably at least one year of field or in-house exposure repair work. May include frequent bending, standing, stooping, walking, talking, sitting/driving for long periods of time and pulling/pushing of instrumentation/parts can also be expected.
