Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
The Facility Coordinator will help support a team to provide a safe and well-maintained environment for customers and employees. This position is responsible for coordinating the scheduling, planning, implementation, documentation, and follow-up of all tasks required for building-based maintenance. This includes interpreting data from the CMMS work order system and scheduling all emergency and general maintenance repairs to equipment. This position supports multiple Nordstrom Stores and Rack locations.
A day in the life…
Ensure maintenance work is planned in a proactive method by ensuring all activities are appropriately scoped, estimated, resourced, and in ready state prior to start of work
Plan and Schedule monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual Preventive Maintenance on both critical and non-critical equipment.
Develop and maintain standard workflow process and provide a multi-month look-ahead Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedule to the team weekly.
Maintain intermediate to advanced computer skills necessary to access CMMS work order system, update equipment history, and access parts/material inventory management system (Coupa)
Help facilitate execution of on demand maintenance, and minor to medium repairs on both critical and non-critical mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment.
Operate and monitor building controls, critical and non-critical building systems, and associated equipment.
EMCS command: Troubleshooting alarms, verifying proper building operation.
Assist Facility Manager in owning administrative task such as parts ordering, PO# creation, vendor management, and attending relevant job meetings/project meetings, etc.
Facilitate and support remote teams with maintaining adequate parts inventory and order items as necessary
Coordinate system repairs and monitor system performance
Execute equipment audits and record-taking policies
Coordinate PMs with contractors and outside vendors and communicate timelines, support and access. Track, verify, and report Service Level Agreement (SLA) performance indicators weekly to internal leadership and assist with communicating to outside vendors to improve performance and meet objectives.
Effectively use the CMMS to develop and maintain the maintenance schedule, manage equipment data, update Bill of Materials (BOM) for assets, and develop standard maintenance procedures (SMP)
Present performance data to maintenance teams regularly. Track, verify and maintain high team performance levels based on established metrics and have the ability to identify trends and continuous improvement opportunities.
Communicate clearly, understand, and acknowledge verbal instructions, and be able to read and interpret work from drawings, written work orders, sketches, blueprints, and technical manuals.

Associate degree or combined technical training / direct experience preferred
Must have a detailed understanding of effective scheduling, estimating, and workflow processes in a maintenance environment.
5-7 years of relevant experience working in a multi-trade environment and interacting with vendors, contractors, and in-house technicians.
Experience using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) such as MP2, SAP or JDE
Advanced Computer skills required
Experience in planning/scheduling in a Retail, Warehouse or Manufacturing environment
Experience communicating to peers, hourly associates, and senior management regarding maintenance, inventory, and cost control
Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communications skills required.
Self-starter and a proven ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy
Experience developing and implementing department goals and strategies based on broader organization goals

Pay Range Details
The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.
Washington: $24.24 - $44.25 USD Hourly
This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more.
