Amazon Executive Assistant, DynamoDB Storage and Transactional Services in Seattle, Washington
Description
We are seeking an administrative professional to be the right hand of the directors of the DynamoDB Storage and Transactional Services organizations. Amazon DynamoDB is one of AWS’s primary database technologies, and its Storage organization is central to its mission of enabling customers to develop modern applications at any scale. The Transactional Services organization develops several foundational technologies that underpin and enable all of AWS, including DynamoDB.
This Executive Assistant position supports the directors of these two organizations. It requires a track record of learning the administrative needs of a leader and organization; staying abreast of, and adapting to, changing priorities with composure, organization, and timeliness; managing a schedule with attention to detail and an eye for efficiency; proactively taking on and executing routine tasks with resourcefulness; communicating with stakeholders empathetically yet firmly; handling sensitive matters with confidentiality; and using judgment to determine the right calls to make – and when to engage others for guidance.
The ideal candidate will invest in deeply understanding the business, processes, and key players; anticipate and address future problems; improve the organizations’ processes; and increasingly represent their executives with independence.
Key job responsibilities
Manage complex calendars and scheduling
Schedule confidential meetings and handle confidential and/or sensitive information and documents
Track and help drive completion of key deliverables, and follow up on outstanding items
Proactively plan and execute key team activities (e.g. staff meetings, on-sites/off-sites, all-hands, team social events)
Work with a high-performing, fun, and collaborative cross-team and cross-border group of EAs and partners across Engineering, Product and Program Management, Recruiting and Human Resources, Facilities, Finance, and Legal
Coordinate domestic and international travel (including smooth transitions between time zones), and submit expense reports in a timely fashion

Basic Qualifications
5+ years of senior level leadership support experience
Experience with executive level calendar management
Experience with domestic or international travel coordination
Preferred Qualifications
7+ years of senior level leadership support experience

Experience designing processes to maximize efficiency
Experience working with large global teams

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
