Amazon Executive Assistant, Devices Business Development in Seattle, Washington

Description

The Amazon Devices and Digital Services team is seeking an exceptionally talented, resourceful, and self-motivated Executive Assistant to support the Director of Devices Business Development. This exciting role requires superior attention to detail, the ability to meet tight deadlines, great organizational skills, and the ability to juggling multiple critical requests across internal and external stakeholders, and proactively anticipating needs and driving improvements across the leadership team. A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information, and professionalism in dealing with senior professionals inside and outside the company is important. The successful candidate will possess the ability to complete complex tasks and projects quickly with little to no guidance, react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, and take effective action without having to know the total picture. The ability to be flexible and change direction at a moment’s notice is critical for success in this role. We work as a global team, dealing with multiple stakeholders across the business and product teams: therefore it is essential to have the ability to work successfully in a team environment and build effective working relationships inside and outside the group.

Responsibilities for this position include the ability to think and plan ahead, delegate responsibilities appropriately, and manage time effectively.

Other key responsibilities include:

• Management of complex calendars and scheduling requirements

• Attending key meetings, tracking and helping drive completion of key deliverables and following up on existing items

• Work closely with the leadership team to provide seamless support to the group using real-time prioritization of business activities.

• Build relationships with other EAs throughout the team and across the company, as well as with Finance, HR, and Legal partners for the organization

• Organize team meetings, conferences, and social events

• Coordination and planning of employee recognition and team events as needed

• Have fun at work and help others do the same

Key job responsibilities

Basic qualifications:

• 5+ years of senior level leadership support, or 3+ years of Amazon experience

• High school or equivalent diploma

• Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, as well as working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Visio

• Experience handling confidential information and working with internal and external professionals

Preferred qualifications:

• Detailed planning, time management and organizational skills are required

• Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

• Positive, proactive and able to always exercise great judgment

• Ability to work in a highly ambiguous environment

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications

  • Experience with C-level executive calendar management

  • Experience as an Executive Assistant

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing teams

  • Experience working in a matrixed organization

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $88,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $176,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
