Blue Origin LLC Environmental Test Technician II in Seattle, Washington

As part of a diverse and hardworking team of specialists, you'll perform environmental testing of flight hardware for various spaceflight systems. In this hands-on position you'll work directly with a small team operating and maintaining the environmental test equipment we use for development and acceptance testing of flight hardware.Additional responsibilities include:Conduct hands-on thermal, vibration, shock and vacuum testing on flight hardware in accordance with MIL-STD-810, SMC-S-016 and MIL-STD-1540Demonstrated ability to work with test, flight and safety critical hardware, tools and shop equipmentSetup and safely operate high energy systems (e.g. high pressure gas and electrical)Operate and maintain environmental test equipment including data acquisition systems, environmental chambers, vibration systems and instrumentation systemsConduct and/or oversee several test projects simultaneously while supporting operations schedulesConfigure test setups, fixtures and instrumentation per test plans and standardsGenerate test plans, test reports, procedures, and work instructions from customer requirementsDesign test fixtures per requirements, test plans and standardsMaintain cleanliness of test equipment and test labIdentify, communicate, and mitigate cost, schedule and technical risksParticipate in Process/Job Hazard AssessmentsWeekends and OT dependent on company needsWe are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight.
