We are in search of an Associate Attorney to join a leading law firm in our Environmental/Regulatory group. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a candidate with a background in Environmental Law to further their career.

Responsibilities:

• Work on a broad range of upland and aquatic cleanups, redevelopment and construction projects, and the purchase and sale of contaminated and brownfield properties.

• Handle natural resource damage claims and complex cost allocation.

• Serve a diverse range of clients, including large national corporations, small local companies, public entities, and individuals.

• Work on sophisticated transactional, regulatory, and litigation matters involving contaminated properties.

• Apply knowledge of the Washington Model Toxics Control Act (MTCA) and the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA).

• Handle real estate transactions and development involving contaminated property, environmental insurance claims, cost recovery litigation, and allocation of environmental liabilities.

• Demonstrate a willingness to take on a diverse range of fast-paced environmental matters.

• Maintain regulatory compliance and manage regulatory compliance risk.

• Prepare and manage regulatory filings and adhere to regulatory law and policies.

• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.

Requirements

3+ YOE in Environmental Law

Active WA license

Strong academic background and writing skills
