Description

We are in search of an Entry Level Accountant to join our team in Seattle, Washington. This role involves maintaining and preparing accounting records, producing financial statements, and assisting in tax return preparation. You'll be working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where attention to detail and strong bookkeeping skills are essential.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of accounting records to ensure accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards and procedures.

• Prepare financial statements, including monthly and annual accounts, to provide reliable information about the company's financial position.

• Analyze and sort client tax records provided for tax return preparation, ensuring all data is handled in a confidential and secure manner.

• Use bookkeeping skills to manage financial transactions, including investments, expenditures, revenues, and liabilities.

• Prepare income tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, and other tax requirements.

• Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, reconciling bank statements, and calculating tax payments and returns.

• Assist in the identification, resolution, and documentation of potential accounting issues and propose solutions to management.

• Stay up-to-date with accounting standards and regulations to ensure the company's financial operations are in compliance.

• Collaborate with the accounting team to streamline accounting functions and operations, providing suggestions for system improvements when necessary.

• Conduct regular audits to ensure the company is prepared for internal and external auditing.

The salary range for this position is $55,000 to $65,000.

Requirements • Proficiency in bookkeeping tasks such as recording transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, and reconciling bank statements.

• Ability to prepare accurate financial statements including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

• Demonstrated experience in maintaining accurate financial records and data.

• Familiarity with tax preparation procedures and regulations, with a focus on income tax return.

• Understanding of ethical standards related to financial reporting and record-keeping.

• Proficient in the use of accounting software and other related technologies.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
