(Special Projects - Seattle) Typical project types include: * Transportation Infrastructure * Ports * Ferry Terminals * Industrial Developments * Waterfront industrial to recreation transformation * Environmental Cleanup * Shipyards * Cruise Terminals * Small Boat Harbors and Marinas * Railway Infrastructure * Stormwater Management * Fisheries Engineering * Airports * Movable Structures * Heavy Industrial Machinery Structural Engineer - KPFF's Special Projects Group is seeking a full-time STRUCTURAL ENGINEER in our Seattle office. The Seattle, WA office of KPFF's Special Projects Group is seeking qualified Structural Engineers that are ready to take their career to the next level. The successful candidate(s) will have the opportunity to be directly involved in a wide variety of challenging projects including port industrial developments, ferry terminals, shipyards, fish & wildlife facilities, naval facilities, small boat marinas, municipal structures, floating structures, and design-build infrastructure. We are looking for self-motivated people who are eager to develop design and project management skills and who are passionate about providing exceptional client service. Ideal Qualifications Include: * BS in Civil Engineering (with a structural emphasis) * MS in Civil Engineering preferred (with a structural emphasis) * EIT is required, PE is preferred * Concrete, steel, and timber coursework and/or design experience * Pre-stressed concrete and seismic coursework and/or design experience * Familiarity with performance-based seismic design, non-linear push-over analysis, and soil-structure interaction analysis * Knowledge of ASCE 61-14, AASHTO, IBC, ASCE-7, AISC, ACI, and NDS * Proficiency in SAP2000, L-Pile, MS Excel, and VBA is preferred * Ability to work dynamically with clients and project team members * An interest in working on a wide variety of non-building related project types Benefits include medical, dental (option), life insurance, short-and long-term disability insurance, paid holidays, vacation and sick time, a subsidized ORCA bus/rail pass (Seattle office) and paid jury duty.
