TITLE:                          Engineering Program Manager

EMPLOYER:                 Stripe, Inc.

 

DUTIES:                       Create and maintain project schedules from concept to mass-production for point of-sale products and accessories; Coordinate internal teams to meet required milestones for prototype, EVT, DVT and PVT engineering builds as well as mass production; Milestones include tool release, key component selection, PCB fabrication approval, and packaging artwork and structural design lock; Support our suppliers and FATP contract manufacturers through the entire development process; Manage internal, supplier and contract manufacturer teams during hardware development builds including material readiness, line bring-up, build matrix definition, unit allocation, and yield reporting; Monitor engineering build reliability testing and assist engineering teams in failure analysis and corrective action plans; Publish build reports detailing quantity of units produced, issues discovered, reliability results, required engineering follow up, and status against & future impact to product schedule; Coordinate with the internal product team on launch plan and lead early field failure analysis efforts; Make on site visits to contract manufacturers in Asia as well as regularly communicate via email and phone.

 

LOCATION:                  Seattle, WA (and various unanticipated work locations across the U.S.)

REQUIREMENTS:         Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field and 5 years of hardware engineering program management experience gained with any job title.

Position also requires the following:

5 years of experience in leading multi-functional system level product development teams;

5 years of experience working with high volume manufacturing processes including enclosure fabrication (injection molding, stamping, CNC etc.), PCBA assembly (SMT) and FATP;

5 years of experience working with Asia bases suppliers and contract manufacturers with different development models in different time zones;

5 years of experience in program management tools such as Jira, Gitlab, SmartSheet, Microsoft Project or equivalent; and,

5 years of experience in defining engineering product requirements and managing engineering development schedules and budgets.

SALARY:                      $241,920-$251,920/year and standard employee benefits.
