AeroTEC Engineering Manager in Seattle, Washington

AeroTEC 6100 4th Avenue South, Suite 300, Seattle, WA 98108 scook@aerotec.com 206-486-1435 Title: Engineering Manager Duties: Manage a team of Leads in the day to day operation of multiple programs. This includes providing technical input and guidance to the team, and making necessary decisions that balance safety, schedule and efficiency. Ensure processes are well documented and rigidly followed. Initiate improvements by pushing for change and ensure the changes are robustly thought through and communicated to impacted parties. Ensure Leads have their teams fully loaded with relevant work, understand their scope, and are enabled to perform. Report key metrics to management and Program Managers to ensure correct visibility is given to key issues. Mentor and develop engineers within the team to ensure professional growth, satisfaction, and succession planning. Develop strategic plans for capability enhancements, optimization, and cost savings. Perform administrative tasks such as shift scheduling of the team, performance previews, annual reviews, and timesheet reviews. Provide timely feedback to low performers and ensure robust recovery plans are followed. Support the wider flight test team by representing engineering and ensuring our common goals are achieved. Ensure engineering team supports overall flight test program objectives. (REF#775312). The position title for subordinate employees supervised is Aerospace Engineers. Travel: As needed for flight test programs and customer visits at 10-25% of time.
