Nordstrom, Inc. seeks Engineer 2 in Seattle, WA.
Duties:
Effectively design and build high volume/high tolerance data engineering services and platforms. Contribute to incident resolution and facilitation of cross functional troubleshooting and root cause analysis of difficult technical problems. Participate in on call rotations and leverage debugging and profiling tools to resolve issues across the team. Collaborate with other engineering teams and program/product managers to define and implement new technical solutions; Contribute to design and code reviews, ensuring the team ships high quality, scalable, maintainable, and well-tested code.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, plus 1 year of experience. Additionally, position requires 1 year of experience with each of the following:
- developing Java and Spring based applications and Services for Retail Transaction Data Pipeline.
- Cloud (AWS) and Container (Docker and Kubernetes) technologies.
- log aggregation and application performance monitoring tools.
- CD/CI tools: Maven, gitlab-ci, or Chef.
- SQL and No-SQL databases: Teradata, SQL server, DynamoDB, and PostgreSQL.
- Publisher-Consumer Streaming System.
- Unix/Linux and Windows OS.
- Big Data Tools and Technologies: Spark, Hive, or Presto.
- Workflow Scheduling and Monitoring Platform including Apache Airflow.
