Meta Electrical Design Verification Engineer in Seattle, Washington

Summary:

The Metaverse HW Validation Team is responsible for developing and deploying verification and validation capabilities that inform product decisions and drive design maturity for Meta’s Virtual Reality/Mixed Reality (VR/MR) portfolio. As an Electrical Design Verification Engineer at Meta, you will be responsible for managing and driving execution of EE and system level validation of various VR/MR products under development. A successful engineer in this role must work with minimal supervision on multiple projects in parallel in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills:

Electrical Design Verification Engineer Responsibilities:

  1. Own electrical verification of MR products end to end, including test plan development, resource & schedule planning, test execution, drive root cause analysis.

  2. Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure proper coverage of requirements.

  3. Track test progress, document bugs, and fixes and produce regular progress reports. Convert large amounts of data into a clear summary to communicate to stakeholders at all levels.

  4. Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies and facilitate conflict resolution.

  5. Create test setups, collect and analyze data to help debug technical issues, and support cross-functional design engineering teams in driving resolution and verify fixes.

  6. Participate in design reviews and make recommendations to support overall test strategy.

  7. International and domestic travel required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree/experience.

  2. 5+ years of experience in consumer electronics or related industry, proven understanding of overall hardware system architecture common to consumer electronics products.

  3. Experience creating validation plans for hardware products including developing test methodologies for new features and technologies.

  4. Knowledge of at least three electrical subsystems such as power, sensors, display, touch, audio, camera or SoC. Experience learning and extending to other areas as needed.

  5. Hands-on experience with testing electrical interfaces such as I2C, USB, HDMI, DP, MIPI, and PCI-e.

  6. Experience working on hardware system coexistence, accessories integration, etc.

  1. Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering and/or related field.

  2. Proven understanding of consumer electronics product lifecycle, development process and partner ecosystem

  3. Working experience working with android software architecture and tool chain, test software development

  4. Experience working with overseas suppliers and manufacturing partners in a JDM model.

Public Compensation:

$139,000/year to $200,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
