Crain Communications Editorial Intern - Spring Semester in Seattle, Washington

Description Are you passionate about reporting and writing, plus getting hands-on experience with every aspect of content production? Are you excited to hone your understanding of global economics, business trends, financial reports, personnel moves and quick-turn breaking news? If yes, this internship could be a good fit for you. As an editorial intern for Staffing Industry Analysts, you will be an integral part of our editorial team, working closely with seasoned professionals who will help you learn new skills and improve your existing ones. Throughout the internship, you will have the opportunity to do some or all of the following: Write assigned news stories on global staffing trends, statistics, workforce development initiatives, data and research. In time, we'll expect you to pitch and write on topics of your own choosing, in partnership with an experienced editor. Learn and perform every aspect of content production, including photo selection, landing page curation, newsletter production, traffic analysis and more. Write for and/or produce recognition lists. Learn the basics of print magazine production. Requirements: We are seeking an intern with an immediate start to work through the Spring semester. Must either be enrolled in a graduate-level journalism program currently, or have recently graduated with an MA in journalism. Must be located in one of the states listed on Crain career site. This internship is best for driven self-starters who enjoy working collaboratively with others. This internship could be remote from any of the states listed on the career page. Must be able to work an EST schedule. This position is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is eligible for overtime pay. Pay Transparency Disclosure: The exact pay rate for this position is $18/hour. The final salary offering will take into accounta wide range of factors, including experience, accomplishments and location. The salary range provided should not be considered as a salary limit or cap.
