Job Description

Working in a bench repair and testing environment in the Drive and Rotor shop overhauling helicopter powertrain components, the Technician will disassemble, troubleshoot, repair, reassemble, test, and certify systems and related units for heavy-lift helicopters. Two primary areas within the shop: Transmissions and Rotors. Read and interpret maintenance manuals, clean and inspect drive & rotor components and parts for damage and wear using visual examination and special tooling and equipment, replace or repair damaged or worn drive & rotor parts using general hand tools, special tools, pneumatic tools, and precision measuring equipment. Reassemble, test, and document inspection findings and work performed/corrective action in maintenance records.

Pay

Per diem if over 75 miles from site: $19.25/hr. taxed plus $166/day per diem up to 5 days ($40.00/hr. total compensation | $45.00/hr OT compensation)

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Months until direct hire.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Aurora, Oregon.

Work Environment

Component division of MRO facility, working in the Drive & Rotor shop area, which is split between Transmission and Rotors, repair and test benches. 5-8's schedule for several weeks to start (8:00am - 4:30pm), then will move to a 4-10's schedule (6:00am - 4:30pm), either Mon-Thurs or Tues-Fri.
