We are looking for an engineering leader to head up a couple of key areas in Infrastructure Engineering org. We are looking for a seasoned engineering leader who are excited about the challenges that come with rapid growth, and passionate about connecting people together through a positive and inclusive culture. Our ideal candidate would have experience building and supporting both engineering managers and senior level IC's. As an engineering leader, you'll work closely with your team, designers, PMs, and other engineering leaders to build and ship products and features that support our vision of helping teams and users collaborate. What you'll do at Figma: As a Director of Engineering you will lead critical areas of Infrastructure engineering organization and develop the roadmap and technical strategy for it. Work closely with Engineering Teams to define and build the infrastructure foundation to support a best-in-class collaboration experience. Build a healthy, scalable, inclusive, and growth-oriented engineering organization. Not only help with Server Platform, but also help Infrastructure and Figma Engineering. Establish trust within and across teams by creating accountability and a positive work environment in partnership with other leaders in the organization. We'd love to hear from you if you have: 5+ years of experience in building and operating large scale distributed systems. 5+ years of experience managing individual contributors and engineering managers Capability to work across team boundaries to get things done. A customer-first mindset that enables you to work effectively with cross-functional peers. Can get engaged in technical and production details. Excited about helping build good production hygiene in the company. Mastery in supporting, hiring and growing senior ICs and managers.
