Nordstrom Director Process & Operations Engineering, Supply Chain in Seattle, Washington
Nordstrom is committed to being the leader in Omnichannel retailing. We have long recognized the importance of having strong capabilities in both Physical and Digital retailing and we continue to innovate on how we can help our customers LOOK THEIR BEST and FEEL GOOD.
At Nordstrom, we embrace “One Good Way” as a path to efficiency, scaling and speed of implementation. The Director Process & Operations Engineering will lead their team to develop processes and solutions that increase operational consistency across sites, optimizing for the Supply Chain network. Through increasing the level of standardization across the network, this role will enable Supply Chain operations to explore additional technology solutions for routine/repeatable tasks. Additionally, this role will be responsible for unlocking new bandwidth for operational innovations by sharing best practices to remove redundant efforts and put more energy towards solving new problems.
This role resides in the Engineering & Systems organization but has a very strong matrix reporting relationship with the SVP of Supply Chain Operations. This individual will partner closely with Operations leaders to prioritize focus areas to drive improved execution. Improving execution will range from supporting short-term improvements in process path rates or staffing strategies and will extend to long-term recommendations on storage capacity solutions or developing business cases for new automation investments.
