This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. You will be leading a dedicated team responsible for fabricating Blue Origin's Engine products at the Kent, Washington site, engaging with a diverse group of specialists, technicians, and engineers. This pivotal role directly impacts the history of space exploration and requires unwavering commitment and attention to detail for safe and consistent spaceflight operations. The successful candidate will work closely with manufacturing leadership, supply chain management, program management, engineering, and production control to ensure timely delivery. We are seeking an individual to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and dedication to quality, with a specific focus on machine shop and fabrication processes, including lasers, welding, and tube shop. A passion for our mission and vision is essential! Responsibilities include but not limited to: Overall responsibility for production and delivery of Engine components to final Engine assembly. Leverage Blue's leadership principles to cultivate a trusting, learning culture of leaders through continuous feedback, coaching and robust development opportunities. Collaborate across functions to maintain the manufacturing schedule and overcome barriers to meet delivery commitments. Own all area KPI's and supporting process improvements, continually raising the bar on performance expectations. Participate in critical program decision boards; corrective action boards; and risk boards. Champion safety always and first-time quality across all functions while growing and developing your team at all levels. Analyze processes and operations at the micro and macro levels followed by implementing high impact improvements for safety, cost savings, and other means to accelerate progress. Define and manage budgets and schedules for raw material, operational expenses, labor, and capital projects. Implement the Blue Production System to build a production framework that supports World-Class capabilities and fosters One Blue culture. Minimum Qualifications: BA or BS degree or equivalent experience with emphasis in Manufacturing Engineering or Operations Management 10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience Evidence of progressive responsibilities in manufacturing in an area such as launch vehicles, spacecraft, aircraft, automotive, medical devices, power generation systems, or electronics. Previous experience in a directorial role Experience building a high performing team that is tightly coordinated to key partners, including all the teams supporting the manufacturing and supply chain of complex builds. Highly effective and professional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of trust, respect, inclusion, and integrity. Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Desired: 15+ years of experience working aerospace or automotive production lines.
