The Position Location: This is a remote, field based position. The person selected for this position can sit anywhere in the United States. Travel Requirements: This position has up to 50% travel requirements. Most of the travel is within the United States, in addition there may be global travel as required. The Market Access Strategy Director plays a crucial role in developing and executing market access strategies to ensure the successful commercialization of our products. This role will have a direct impact on shaping the US market access landscape for diagnostics, and requires leading cross-functionally to assess market dynamics, identify access barriers, and devise innovative strategies to overcome them. The Market Access Strategy Director will collaborate closely with key stakeholders, including commercial teams, medical teams, government affairs, and external partners to achieve optimal pricing, reimbursement, and market access outcomes. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement market access strategies: Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive market access strategies aligned with Roche Diagnostics' overall business objectives. This includes assessing market landscape, identifying access barriers, conducting market research, and formulating innovative strategies to enhance market access. Value proposition and business case development: Develop a value proposition and effective business case that will influence medical policies. Apply a strong understanding of relevant markets and strategies, leveraging multi-disciplinary background through education and/or experience. Evidence generation strategy: Collaborate with medical & scientific affairs and global access evidence teams to generate robust evidence supporting the value proposition of our diagnostic products. Utilize health economic modeling and clinical utility to demonstrate the economic and clinical value of our products. Pricing and reimbursement strategy: Develop and execute pricing and reimbursement strategies that optimize product access and ensure value for patients, laboratories, payers, and Roche Diagnostics. Collaborate with global pricing teams to ensure consistency and alignment with global pricing strategies. Stakeholder engagement and advocacy: Engage with external stakeholders, such as payers, laboratories, policymakers, and advocacy groups, to understand their perspectives and priorities. Develop strong relationships and advocate for the value of our products to ensure positive market access outcomes. Trusted partner: Build and nurture partnerships with industry trade groups, societies, and pharmaceutical companies to enhance market access for diagnostic solutions. Collaborate closely with partners to align strategies, resources, and tactics, maximizing the value and impact of joint initiatives. Team leadership and collaboration: Navigate within a changing organization, maintaining objectivity, respect for differences of opinion, fairness, open communication, and consensus-building skills. Lead and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve results, while upholding company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork. Minimum Qualifications: BS/BA Business or equivalent, Advanced Degree (e.g., MBA, MPA, MHA, MS) preferred. 10+ years of market access and/or strategic intelligence experience with ability to multi-task. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proficiency in health economics
