The land title team is responsible for managing the land records for Weyerhaeuser’s 11 million acres of ownership. This management process includes the electronic processing of all ownership/encumbrance records across the enterprise, creating spatial data for every deeded tract, supporting all transactions, and researching ownership and easement legal matters.

The position is on the Timberlands, Corporate Development, Real Estate, and Natural Resources legal team. We are a group of 24 attorneys, paralegals, transaction specialists, and land title technicians. We work together to support the complete needs of the various timberlands and real estate businesses, and to collaborate on new and emerging focus areas as these businesses grow and evolve. Experience/Education

  • 8years of experience in the fields of land records, real estate and/or natural resources management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in geography, geospatial technology, or natural sciences OR an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Advanced knowledge of ESRI’s software suite such as ArcGIS, ArcGIS pro, Spatial Database Engine (SDE), and ArcGIS WebApp Builder.
  • Preferred experience with cadastral surveys (PLSS, Texas surveys, metes and bounds, etc.)

  • Provides technical expertise regarding the analysis and interpretation of complicated or ambiguous provisions of various land agreements and title issues
  • Ability to work under deadlines and on multiple projects
  • Manage, develop, and lead a team with diverse skill sets and roles.
  • Ability to lead and manage projects for material transactions exceeding $100MM

  • Ability to anticipate technological changes and innovate new and efficient solutions to title management and research What We Offer: Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $139,171-$208,756 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 25% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

Retirement: Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, which includes a paid company match in addition to our annual contribution equal to 5% of your base salary.

Paid Time Off or Vacation: We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 holiday hours and paid parental leave for all full-time employees.
