Seattle Children’s Hospital Director, Bed Management and Critical Care Transport in Seattle, Washington

Responsibilities In this position, you will: -Be responsible for directing and evaluating all aspects of bed management, staffing, and critical care tranport systems in alignment with Seattle Children\'s mission, values, strategic objectives, financial requirements, and customer service standards to assure equitable and safe access to inpatient services. -Own, develop and implement policies for related systems and processes including oversite of patient movement (admission, discharge, transfer) and critical care transport within the EHR. -Lead teams that design and deliver analyical and data structures, bed management services, staffing deployment, and critical care transport. -Build and maintain internal and external multidiciplinary relationships with state and regional healthcare delivery organizations and agencies (such as NWHRN). -Lead and/or participate in appropriate oversite committees related to patient flow, critical care transport, nurse staffing, and regulatory compliance. -Be responsible for emergency preparedness within areas of oversite and is available to serve as a leader in incident response. Requirements Required Education/Experience: - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. - Master\'s degree in Nursing; may be substituted with a Master\'s in Business Administration, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field provided the candidate also possesses a Bachelor\'s degree in Nursing (Candidates currently enrolled in a Master\'s program will be considered. Individual must complete program within three years in position and maintain solid performance). - Minimum five (5) years of leadership experience in a health care setting. Required Credentials: - Current Washington State nursing license. - Must obtain national certification in a clinical specialty area or leadership within three years. - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers. Current PEARS or PALS certification will be accepted in lieu of BLS. - A copy of graduate degree in Nursing or transcripts indicating attainment of Master\'s degree in nursing is to be on record with Human Resources upon hire. If Master\'s degree is in Business Administration, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field, a copy of the degrees or transcripts indicating attainment of a Master\'s degree and Bachelor\'s in Nursing degree is to be on record with Human Resources upon hire. If Master\'s degree is in process, a copy of the Bachelor\'s degree in Nursing or transcripts indicating attainment of a Bachelor\'s degree in Nursing and a notation of expected Master\'s completion date is to be on file with Human Resources upon hire. Preferred: - Experience sucessfully implementing improvement methods within a health care delivery organization - Experience successfully implementing organizational change management models - Experience delivering strategic plans and operational products - Experience applying advanced analytical systems to improve operations - Active relationships with local and regional healthcare delivery organizations, as well as leading pediatric hospitals - Experience leading hospital command center and bed management system - Experience leading a critical care transport team - Knowledge of, and experience with, incident response through the application of Hospital Incident Command Structure (HICS) Min to Max Hourly Salary\$79.95 - \$119.92 /hrMin to Max Annual Salary\$166,296.00 - \$249,433.60 /yrSalary Information This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
