JOB SUMMARY The Direct Sales Vacation Counselor is responsible for inbound/outbound telephone calls from various marketing partners, customers and members with the intention of selling collection points. The Direct Sales Vacation Counselor is expected to provide outstanding customer service in alignment with our quality assurance standards. The Direct Sales Vacation Counselor will also participate in outbound follow-up for sales and service. The Direct Sales Vacation Counselor collects and records specific data pertaining to the caller, travel inquiry and call result within the CRM system with a high level of accuracy.


  • Conducts sales presentations as trained on the telephone.

  • Engages the owner/customer by creating interest in the campaigns being marketed.

  • Builds rapport with owners/customers in a short period of time.

  • Persuades owners to add to their portfolio.

  • Gathers and documents information through a proper discovery.

  • Documents all calls and actions completed into the CRM, including dates for follow-up calls.

  • Ensures contracts and associated documents are properly executed.

  • Reviews owner documents and associated collateral with new purchases.

  • Assists in ensuring all questions are answered in a professional, informative, diplomatic and correct manner.

  • Follow ups to ensure sales paperwork is returned within a specific period of time.

  • Achieves personal and departmental sales objectives as provided or determined throughout the fiscal year.

  • Participates in ongoing sales training and team collaboration efforts.

  • Provides superior customer service in accordance with the Company DRIven to Excellence standards.

  • Consistently practice We Love to Say Yes® and maintain the highest standards of professionalism when interacting with fellow team members, management, owners, members and prospects.

  • Operates general office machinery (i.e., computer, copy machine, fax machine, etc.).

  • Completes all required company trainings and compliance courses as assigned.

  • Adheres to company standards and maintains compliance with all policies and procedures.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • A minimum of six (6) months of experience in the timeshare sales field required.

  • No supervisory experience required. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position does not include any supervisory responsibilities.


  • Real Estate License or Timeshare License as required by state law. SKILLS & ABILITIES This position requires the capability to understand and follow both oral and written directions as well as knowledge and usage of correct business English and office practices. Must be able to communicate effectively with others, analyze and resolve problems, maintain effective working relationships, and interact successfully with internal and external customers.
