F5, Inc. seeks DevOps Consultant II in Seattle, WA:

Job Duties: Help customers architect, implement, maintain, and optimize their IT network infrastructure with our core F5 BIG-IP products. Responsible for architecture and design of network and systems infrastructure, performance, and management. Help customers improve application delivery, access, security, and data management for their infrastructure. Work in partnership with our clients, advising them how to use our ADC solutions to meet their business objectives or overcome problems. Provide strategic mentorship and subject matter expertise to customers regarding implementation and configuration of the core F5 BIG-IP products. Support Containerization concepts including Docker images, Deployment Plans, YAML file configurations, Kubectl (Kubernetes Command Line Tool) and provide leadership in exploring Cloud native and container based distributed systems like Kubernetes. Provide technical mentorship to customer onsite and/or remotely regarding the implementation, configuration and maintenance of the F5 BIG-IP core products independently or with a team. Perform as project lead and/or catalyst for systems architecture, solution design, deployment, testing, problem identification, troubleshooting and documentation. Perform basic project management duties such as projects status update reports, time tracking and expectation management for the delivery of work product and associated Risks. Lead customer interaction and engagement over the course of the assigned projects. Maintain working proficiency in F5 products and technologies through focused and formal training. Identify additional product/services opportunities in customer organization. Engage with multiple teams including but not limited to F5 Support, F5 Product Sales, and F5 Professional Services Sales. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to F5 offices may be required.

Minimum Requirements: Masters degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or closely related quantitative discipline, and two (2) years of experience in job offered or in any occupation in a related field.

Special Skill Requirements: (1) OpenSSL; (2) Kubernetes; (3) Docker; (4) Java; (5) JavaScript; (6) Python; (7) Firewalls; (8) Ethernet; (9) LTM and GTM technologies; and (10) C. Any suitable combination of education, training and experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to F5 offices may be required.
