Job Summary:

The Development Technician I is responsible for maintaining strict adherence to safety rules, environmental controls, cleaning procedures, and processing specifications while performing assigned functions related to all aspects of research and development and small scale production processing of quenched inorganic solids.

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military environments to a 3M career.

Primary Responsibilities included but are not limited to the following:

  • Routine use of heavy industrial equipment

  • Powder batching

  • High temperature thermal processing

  • Powder milling

  • Material packaging

  • Regular record keeping

  • Inventory maintenance

  • Safety focus

This position may require:

  • Weekend work

  • Working overtime

  • Working on holidays as needed

  • Short notice shift coverage

Basic Qualifications:

  • Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One (1) year experience in manufacturing in a private, public, government or military environment.

  • Ability to comprehend, execute, and communicate using written and verbal instructions.

Location: Seattle, WA

Relocation: Is not authorized

Qualified applicants will be required to take and pass 3M employment testing as a part of the selection process.
