The Customs & Compliance Development Team is responsible for ten software applications that allow our customers to track their inventory, create and process U.S. Customs documentation, save money on customs tariffs, avoid late filings fees, and protect their companies from shipping with known bad actors.

We're looking for an experienced Java Developer to join our cross-functional team and collaborate to enhance our applications and resolve production support issues for our customers. Our developers work primarily at the application layer with both front-end and backend apps, but also learn and work with environment dependencies and server level settings for our apps.


  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related field of study, or equivalent experience

  • 3+ years professional software development experience in object-oriented programming and component-based Java development in a team environment

  • Solid experience in analysis and design using object-oriented techniques

  • Comfortable working with backend code (Java / Spring) to write the business logic, database queries, and APIs

  • Experience with SQL and Operating systems including UNIX, Linux, and Windows

  • Customer service-oriented attitude and top-notch time management

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate well as needed

  • Problem solver

  • Enjoys troubleshooting and analyzing existing codebases


  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies

  • Leadership experience

  • Experience with Spring, Hibernate, JavaScript, HTML, CSS

  • Experience with Eclipse IDE or IntelliJ, Spring STS, Maven, and Nexus

  • Knowledge of Perl

  • Experience with Azure DevOps, SVN, and Git

Position is full time (40 hours per week) Monday through Friday. We are a business professional attire company.
