About This Role: The Data Researcher for Forrester's technology executive (TEX) research team is critical to conducting primary research, technology and business analysis, actionable reports, and client advisories to advance our clients' technology initiatives and guide them to success upon implementing programs that reduce business, application, and data risk. The Data Researcher researches and writes coherent topics about business and technology priorities, high performance IT, and econometrics among other areas; produces powerful presentations and other deliverables; supports team processes; and contributes to client inquiries and advisory to deliver high-quality research. This role works closely with analysts covering technology strategy, operating models, tech stacks, insights, innovation, and emerging tech. Job Description: Help analysts conduct research, analyze findings, write research reports, and produce presentations. Gain insight into practices and priorities of business and technology leaders driving risk programs by designing and conducting interviews and surveys. Keep the team on top of industry trends and best practices by participating in vendor briefings, client advisories and inquiries, webinars, and industry events. Assist the TEX research team interface with Forrester sales, marketing, and editorial teams. Support the development and delivery of the annual T&I Summit. Manage projects and coordinate resources to accomplish team goals. Job Requirements: A strong academic record, preferably a BA/BS degree; equivalent education through military education, previous work experience, or certification is considered. Relevant work experience in research, academia, consulting, media, or with a technology vendor. An understanding of basic risk practices for risk management, data, privacy, and/or applications or project management experience. Background in survey design and analysis is a plus; proficiency with analytic tools including R and SPSS and survey tools such as Qualtrics is preferred. Proficiency with productivity tools including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. Superior communication skills; comfort in writing reports, and excellent command of the English language. The ability to prioritize, multitask, and work with a dynamic team under tight deadlines. A global research team player with a sense of autonomy. Strong analysis, articulation, attention to detail, and self-motivation. Please note that the base salary range indicated here is inclusive of all applicable US geographies listed in this requisition, with the exception of New York City. This salary range is based upon the position as described in the job listing. The offered compensation may vary within this range and is dependent upon the successful candidate's primary work location, experience, training, education, and credentials. Base salary range: $62,000 - $112,000 Base salary range for New York City, NY: $79,000 - $129,000 For employees based in Washington State, the percentage listed here is an estimated incentive bonus target as a percentage of base salary, in accordance with the Forrester Employee Bonus Plan.
