Credentialing & Administrative Specialist\Roles and Responsibilities include:

  • Collect credentials from practitioners for verification prior to reviews being assigned

  • Research provider licensure and board certification in the AMA Database for all newly recruited providers

  • Research provider licensure and board certification in the AMA Database for existing providers when licenses are scheduled to expire

  • Efficiently document all communications with provider and provider offices

  • Maintain provider database to reduce the possibility of errors arising from outdated or erroneous information

  • Handle incoming department phone calls, emails, and faxes

  • Provider file updates such as address changes

  • Requesting and filing provider paperwork

  • Fixing incorrect information in provider database and general upkeep

  • Troubleshooting and solving computer errors caused by outdated or incorrect provider data

  • Field provider inquiries and route to recruiters as necessary

  • Support Senior credentialing specialist

  • Other tasks as delegated by the Physician Recruiting Manager and Senior Credentialer

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.

  • 0-3 years' of relevant experience is preferred.

  • Very computer savvy with moderate-to-high experience with Microsoft Office
