This is a hybrid remote position based out of our Seattle, WA headquarters.
Provides support to Corporate Medical Operations for donor claims, medical director invoices, plasmavigilance and special projects.
Primary Responsibilities for Role:
Maintains a database of all donor adverse events as part of the company's plasmavigilance program.
Collects invoices for services provided by physicians to the donor centers and submits to accounts payable on a timely manner.
Creates and maintains an up to date database of physicians working for all Grifols centers.
Reviews, analyses and processes all donor claims related to medical invoices of donor adverse events in a prompt and compassionate manner, including collection of all necessary documentation, interaction with affected donor or their family, interaction with donor center staff, Grifols legal department and accounts payable.
Creates and maintains a spreadsheet of all donor claims to ensure prompt processing and optimal customer service and prepares a monthly report for the Corporate Medical Director.
Tracks data from databases and reports findings to the Corporate Medical Director for medical operations.
Constructs spreadsheets and create reports on trends related to all donor adverse events for the donor center network as part of the company's plasmavigilance program.
Assists in the tracking and notification of the expiration of the medical licenses for the physicians and the donor center medical staff.
Reviews and prepares medical data and information from internal resources that are analyzed and applied to medical database.
Prepares project specific documentation to reflect methods used with details to support comprehension and replication of the analysis.
Assists with new physician contracts, existing physician contract changes and maintenance of a physician contract database.
Assists with coordination of medical department meetings and travel planning.
May provide support to office activities and events.
Assists the department as needed with other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong customer service skills.
Proficient of computer programs such as Office, Excel, Power Point and Word.
Superior ability to interact with people on the phone and in person from different company departments as well as handling the cases of unhappy customers.
Experience with bill management or claims processing preferred.
Knowledge of Microsoft Access preferred. Strong verbal and written skills in the English language.
Ability to summarize data by the use of graphs and tables and creating power point presentations.
Strong organizational skills, must be able to balance competing priorities and deliver reports in an timely manner.
Must be able to work on a fast paced environment, dealing with confidential information and with little supervision.
Familiar with medical terminology.
Education and Experience:
Typically requires 2 years of related experience
Depending on the area of assignment, directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the stated requirements. Example: If a job level requires a Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of experience, an equivalency could include 8 years of experience, an Associate’s degree with 6 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 2 years of experience.
