Description

We are in search of a Controller to join our team, based in Seattle, Washington. The role involves managing the accounting department, providing oversight over credit, inventory, and purchasing, and preparing financial reports. This is a role in the industry which requires skills in accounting software systems, financial services, and controllership functions.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the accounting department and manage tasks such as payroll, bank reconciliations, and financial statements.

• Supervise credit, inventory, and purchasing operations.

• Handle general accounting duties including checks and cash flow oversight.

• Maintain and oversee month-end and year-end processes.

• Prepare and file State Sales Tax returns, Property Tax payments, and Payroll tax reports.

• Maintain standard material, standard labor, and standard scrap costs.

• Prepare reports summarizing and forecasting company business activity and financial positions.

• Direct the preparation of budgets, review budget proposals, and prepare necessary supporting documentation and justifications.

• Oversee staff development and growth.

• Manage bank accounts and owner’s personal bank accounts.

• Calculate monthly incentive compensation for various employees.

• Account for the purchase of capital assets and determine the depreciation rates to apply to each.

The salary range for this position is $115,000 to $145,000.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services

• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Background in Auditing

• Expertise in Budget Processes

• Experience in Controllership

• Familiarity with Controllership Functions

• Ability to create an Annual Financial Plan

• Experience in Annual Financial Reporting

• Experience in Audit - Financial
