General Purpose: RCAC is seeking a dynamic CRM to join our team. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), CRM provides direction and oversight on all corporate compliance matters. CRM's main role is to ensure that RCAC adheres to all regulatory requirements and manages risks effectively related to its main program services. CRM is responsible for identifying and assessing compliance risk areas; communicating the importance of the compliance program to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and staff; preparing and distributing the written code of conduct, setting forth the ethical principles and policies; developing and implementing education programs; implementing a retaliation-free internal reporting process; and collaborating with C-Suite and SLT to effectively incorporate the compliance program and changes in the policies and procedures. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Review, develop and implement corporate compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. Stay abreast of changes in regulatory requirements and industry best practices and update policies and procedures accordingly. Conduct regular risk assessments and identify potential areas of risk exposure within the organization's operations, programs, and investments. Collaborate with RCAC departments including Staff Operations, Communications, Loan Fund, Housing, Events and Facilities and Community/Environmental Services to establish risk mitigation strategies and monitor the effectiveness of controls. Assist and coordinate contract and organizational audits, examinations and reviews conducted by external regulatory agencies or auditors. Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory inquiries and examinations, ensuring timely and accurate responses. Develop educational programs for all employees, agents, contractors, or others working with the organization. Provide guidance and training to staff members on compliance and risk management principles and practices. Ensure that the internal controls can prevent and detect significant instances or patterns of illegal, unethical, or improper conduct by employees, agents, contractors, or others working with the organization. Ensure that compliance systems in place have effective mechanisms to determine that employees in management and other sensitive and/or responsible positions do not have a propensity to violate laws and regulations or engage in improper or unethical conduct in their designated areas of responsibility. Provide input and/or direction to human resources policies and procedures and the performance appraisal and incentive programs to ensure that improper conduct is discouraged. Review and update RCAC's procurement, expense, internet security, advocacy, accounting, board reporting, diversity and inclusion, cash and investment, management plans and other related policies. Ensure that all RCAC corporate, subgrant and vendor contracts contain language that is corporate compliant and includes required insurance clauses, disclosures, and exclusions. Additionally, CRM at their discretion is expected to regularly report issues to the CFO and SLT. Oversee, follow-up and, as applicable, resolve investigations, including insurance applications and claims and other issues generated by the compliance program, including development of corrective action plans, as needed. Develop and implement, upon CFO and/or SLT's approval, an annual review of an update to the compliance plan including important matters. Supervision Exercised: No supervisory duties. Minimum Qualifications and Necessary Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, law, or a related field.
