USNC Communications Manager in Seattle, Washington
DESCRIPTION:
As Communications Manager, you will help to establish a communications strategy for USNC and will develop and implement marketing and communications campaigns. Ultimately, you should be able to increase web traffic across high-value target audience segments, support business development activities through media relations and outreach, develop content and collateral tailored to target market segments, and support broader internal and external communications strategies.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement marketing and communications campaigns.
Define key performance indicators for each communications channel which will indicate a campaign's level of success.
Determine strategic communications campaigns that will help further organizational goals.
Create internal communications protocols and initiatives that will foster employee morale.
Develop and oversee the creation of marketing and communications collateral to ensure that it is consistent with the organization's brand, including white papers, website copy, and more.
Represent the organization at events and conferences.
Reach out to influencers, media and beyond to arrange story placement on a national and global level.
Create content to be used in external communications that is created with end-user (audience) in mind.
Translate and adapt technical material to create content that will be understandable and relatable to public.
Prepare PowerPoint templates and content, graphics, presentation materials and speech writing if needed. Conduct coaching/dry runs with presenters as necessary.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
8-12 years prior experience working in a marketing or communications role.
Proven success designing and executing marketing and communications strategies, campaigns, and content.
Stay up to date on industry trends and anticipate trends and engagement opportunities.
Strong writer across a variety of media.
Excellent organizational and project management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Must be able to think analytically and strategically.
Capable of working well as part of a team as well as independently.
Great multitasker and capable of simultaneously managing multiple projects with different deadlines.
Familiarity or experience working with CRM software is an asset.
Superior written and verbal communications skills.
Strong analytical, writing, and organizational skills.
Creativity and technical aptitude.
Familiarity with online marketing strategies and marketing channels.
Bachelor's degree or greater in English, Journalism, Marketing or Communications
PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCES:
Experience, understanding in nuclear energy, energy, electric power generation, climate and environmental or related industries.
Ability to understand and incorporate brand, positioning and message strategies across diverse audiences.
TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS: Limited travel (25-50%)

SALARY RANGE: 90k-119k
COMPENSATION: This position is eligible to participate in our performance bonus plan.
